Checkers is a really cool game that puts your ability to read the game and develop scenarios in your mind to the test. Checkers is not as big a test of your mind as chess is but there is no denying that you need to be strategically adept in order to be able to win at checkers consistently. Checkers is not normally a fast-paced game and therefore, you need to be able to think on your feet to outmaneuver the opponent. There are some types where the board size is bigger while in some cases backward movement is possible when jumping over. There is also the allowance of development of Kings and their movement and it is in these details that the checkers type differ from one another. The gameplay itself is very smooth. As is the convention, the white starts first and you normally play as White unless you switch it around in the Settings. It is easy to make any move with the game also providing you with insight on what choices you have in every move. You can undo and redo your moves and also get hints when you are not sure what to do next. The hints are normally available for free in the easier levels and require watching an ad video in the more difficult rounds.

Apart from playing against the AI in each type of checkers game, there is also the possibility of playing a two-player game. This is normally useful if there are two people who can share a mobile screen. Unfortunately, the game has no multiplayer version where you can find and play against friends online.

The checkers game has good customizable settings including a choice between four different board themes. You can also switch between white and black and switch the first move option between the two colors as well. You can enable or disable the helper and enable or disable the mandatory jumps as well.
